WHY LEADERS EMERGE EVEN LATER THAN MANAGERS

WHY LEADERS EMERGE EVEN LATER THAN MANAGERS
In the beginning, a business has need of an entrepreneur. It needs someone to do the work of creating the product, setting up the service, and winning customers. He or she does everything from licking stamps to keeping accounts. They may even hire a few hands to help them do them work. If the business survives and the entrepreneur gets tired, managers take over. Managers create order and control the growth of profits of the business. They develop the business mission and keep the business focused. A business can survive a long time with a mission and without leadership. When an organization is running well it has no need for leaders. However, when there comes a crisis, as there surely will, a leader will emerge. In times of crisis people ask, "Where do we go from here?" Only then is when vision is needed and leaders take over.
