Corporate Trainer, Management Consultant & Author
Allan Bukusi has over two decades corporate training and consulting experience. He has worked with leading private sector, government, and nongovernmental agencies to facilitate staff empowerment, organization development and change programs. He has conducted more than two hundred assignments covering all major economic sectors. He has trained several thousand employees, professionals and business executives on leadership, management and personal development topics. He has facilitated workshops at every level from board directors to front-line staff and conducted assignments in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique and Ghana drawing participants from West, East and Southern Africa.
Allan works with medium to large organizations to empower leadership teams, strengthen management competencies, train trainers (TOT), implement performance management programs and design corporate strategy. His engagement with multiple economic sectors and his own experience as CEO allows him to combine professional perspectives with practical, mind of an investor, vision and useful customer insight to design and deliver effective training programs. Allan helps management teams develop clear strategic focus and facilitate profitable behavior change among staff.
Allan began his career as an accounts clerk, later a school teacher and then corporate trainer with the global firm KPMG. He has been the Chairman and CEO of the Professional Trainers Association of Kenya and was honored as a Fellow of the Institute of Human Resources Management. He was also the founding CEO of the Corporate Business Leadership Centre, CBLC at PAC University, Nairobi (2015). Allan is the director of the Africa Leadership & Social Development Centre and is a member of the A-TEAM; a network of international trainers supporting the AWARD vision of gender responsive agriculture driven prosperity on the continent.
Allan has a Master’s degree in Leadership & Enterprise, Graduate Diploma in Education and Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. He has professional training in business administration, accounting management, human resources as well as in strategy development & Implementation. He is a certified MBTI practitioner and continues to develop his skills as a trainer, moderator and process facilitator. He is the author of more than a dozen books on leadership, management and personal development topics. His most popular book, How to Prosper in Employment (2005), challenges individuals to embrace employment as a wealth generating partnership between employers and employees where both parties achieve prosperity! In his most recent work TRANSFORMING AFRICA; he proposes a transformation readiness index-TRI to help track the transformation of African nations. His book The Master Trainer equips new and experienced trainers to excel in program design and delivery.
